On June 1st, Cathedral Valedictorian Samuel Cintra proudly walked across the newly renovated sanctuary at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross to receive his diploma along with all 69 of his classmates—the 16th consecutive senior class at Cathedral to have achieved 100% graduation and 100% college placement.
In just a few short months, Sam will arrive on the campus of Denison University as a fully funded, four-year Posse Scholar, and thus become the first person in his family to have access to a college education—an achievement that once seemed impossible to Sam and his family. “Thanks to the Cathedral-sponsored medical exploration program at Northeastern University, I plan on studying Health, Exercise and Sports Science at Denison, which will help me fulfill my goal of becoming a physician. Cathedral has changed my life,” says Sam.
Sam and his classmates are taking such transformative steps in their lives because of the winning (and vital) combination of hard work, faith, dedication and philanthropic support.
