Cathedral High School is thrilled to welcome Mr. Karl Danso to the Cathedral community as the school’s next Principal!
Mr. Danso brings with him an extensive background in Catholic education, serving as a teacher, coach, mentor and most recently as an administrator at Catholic Memorial. His reputation as a strong Catholic, community driven and mission minded leader made him the clear choice to be Cathedral’s next academic leader.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Cathedral community! Throughout this process, I was drawn to the students, families, faculty and staff, and Board of Trustees commitment to ensuring the continued success of Cathedral, and I am extremely excited for us to engage in this work together!” said Mr. Danso.
Mr. Danso joins the Cathedral community after an extensive search where he emerged as a passionate leader who is poised to continue Cathedral’s path of academic growth and achievement, incredible commitment to community, and deep appreciation for the diverse student body served by Cathedral’s mission.

Throughout our search process, it became clear that Karl’s experiences as an educator, and his strong desire to lead Cathedral’s life-changing mission, made him the ideal candidate to lead our ambitious future. I’m incredibly excited to partner with Karl, and believe strongly that our students and families will feel the immediate impact of his leadership, care and commitment to developing and educating our scholars. With Karl joining the team, it’s an exciting time for Cathedral!” remarked Dan Carmody, Cathedral President.
Mr. Danso will begin as Principal in July, but we are excited for him to continue to get to know the community that awaits him!
