Head of School Dr. Oscar Santos and Principal Dr. Helenann Civian presented academic honors to 153 Cathedral scholars for their performance in the first quarter of the school year during an academics awards convocation on December 16.
The highest recognition, the Headmaster’s List, recognizes students with a minimum 3.7 cumulative GPA and no grade lower than a B+. Students on the Principal’s List had a minimum 3.3 GPA and no grade lower than a B. The Honor Roll includes those who earned a minimum 3.0 GPA and received no grade lower than a B–.
House 1 (grades 7 and 8) had 27 students honored; there were 71 students recognized from House 2 (grades 9 and 10); and 55 students in House 3 received awards. More than 46% of the entire student body were distinguished with academic honors.
