Special Recognition for Nancy Lane '69, Director of Guidance

Everybody at Cathedral High School knows Nancy Lane. Parents, students, every staff and faculty member, partner institutions, and decades of alumni alike all light up with affection and enthusiasm when her name is mentioned.

When Francis Lubega signed up for the mock trial team his freshman year at Cathedral High School, he might not have realized then he was laying the foundation for his future career plans. The newest graduate from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester can trace the beginnings of his interest in law to the opportunities he received while at Cathedral.

50th Anniversary Reunion for the Class of 1968

Maintaining close connections to classmates and their alma mater has been a central theme in the efforts of the CHS Alumni Association. Led by Roger Scott ’64, the Alumni Association brought more than 150 alumni and their spouses together for the 37th Annual All-Classes Reunion on Sunday, September 23.

The usual quiet morning at the Basilica and Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was punctuated with excitement, cheers, smiling faces, camera shutters, and the notes of Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance No. 1 flowing from the pipes of the basilica’s organ. Cathedral High School’s class of 2018 proudly accepted their diplomas from school leadership in front of an enthusiastic and energetic crowd of hundreds on Saturday, May 18.

Cathedral High School was pleased to welcome five alumni into the Athletics Hall of Fame at our Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon this past Saturday, December 16.

Cathedral 7-12 High School has had an incredible 2016-2017 school year. These are the top seven highlights made possible through the generous support of our mission by our trustees, benefactors, the community, as well as through the engagement of our students, families, faculty, and staff.

Boston Cathedral High School students tour Quebec City in Canada

Through the generosity of family, friends, and classmates of Richard McDonald ’63, 13 Cathedral students studying French were able to travel to Quebec for a guided learning experience.

Lolita Colson ’99, who found the inspiration for her career at Cathedral, now invests in scholarships for today’s Cathedral scholars.

2015 Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees

Cathedral High School held the third biennial induction in its Athletics Hall of Fame recognizing six extraordinary alumni athletes.

Around 150 alumni of Cathedral High School attended the 34th All-Class Reunion on Sunday, September 13th hosted by the CHS Alumni Association at Lombardo’s in Randolph.
