Amy Malkemes, Director of DevelopmentDirector of Development

Amy Malkemes is Director of Development of Cathedral 7-12 High School in Boston. Amy has 20 years of experience in fundraising particularly for organizations serving inner-city residents. Most recently, Amy was Director of Development at both the Black Ministerial Alliance of Greater Boston and Development Consultant/Director for Lena Park Community Development Corporation in Dorchester. She has also served at Julie’s Family Learning Program and Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School.

Amy’s passion has always been helping people in need, leading her to pursue her bachelor’s degree at Gordon College with a major in social work. She continued her education at Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research earning both a Master of Law and Social Policy and a Master of Social Service focusing on non-profit management. Amy began her career as a grant writer, securing a $1 million grant to launch a Beacon Center in Philadelphia.

Wanting to be closer to family, Amy transitioned back to Boston in 2002 and currently resides in Saugus with her husband.
