Nampeera Lugira will be welcomed as the new Principal of Cathedral High School effective July 1, 2019. Nampeera, who is the Dean of Enrichment at Codman Academy Public Charter School in Dorchester, was selected for the leadership position after an extensive search.

2019 State D4 Champions in Girls Basketball

The Cathedral Panthers girls varsity basketball team extended their dominance of division 4 basketball in Massachusetts, claiming their third state crown in four years. Coach Clinton Lassiter and the team sailed to a 65-36 victory over Hopkins Academy at Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon capping off a 22-2 season for the Panthers.

2018 Adopt-A-Student Foundation Partnership for Success Dinner at the Seaport Hotel Boston

Supporters of Cathedral High School from a variety of industries across Boston celebrated the 17th annual Adopt-A-Student Foundation Partnership for Success Dinner on Thursday, October 24 at the Seaport Hotel. More than $1.36 Million was raised to support student scholarships at Cathedral which enables the school’s 320 students to have access to a high-quality Catholic education.

50th Anniversary Reunion for the Class of 1968

Maintaining close connections to classmates and their alma mater has been a central theme in the efforts of the CHS Alumni Association. Led by Roger Scott ’64, the Alumni Association brought more than 150 alumni and their spouses together for the 37th Annual All-Classes Reunion on Sunday, September 23.

WilmerHale, one of Boston’s premier law firms, organized a biennial morning Career Day for Cathedral High School students on April 10. Professionals from a wide variety of career fields and industries spoke in small group panels across 20 classrooms at the school’s historic South End campus.
