Around 150 alumni of Cathedral High School attended the 34th All-Class Reunion on Sunday, September 13th hosted by the CHS Alumni Association. Guests enjoyed an evening of catching up with dear friends and reminiscing of their Cathedral days at Lombardo’s in Randolph, Mass. Sister Mary Black, CSJ, long-time teacher and fundraiser at the school, was in attendance to greet everyone and share in the celebration.

Laughter and music filled the room as alumni and their guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner. Roger Scott ‘64, president of the CHS Alumni Association, acknowledged the classes celebrating milestone anniversaries this year, including 50 years for 1965 and 60 years for 1955, and spoke about the special bond that all Cathedral graduates share. Fr. James Hawker ’55 gave a special invocation before dinner. Dr. Oscar Santos, head of school, thanked all the alumni for their continued dedication to their alma mater and spoke of the positive direction the school is moving toward.

The reunion continued into the evening with alumni enjoying dancing and sharing stories. “There was a sense of family throughout the room as all classes came together to celebrate their alma mater and years of friendship,” said Cheryl Madruga, director of alumni relations and donor gifts. Former athletes proudly showed off their football and baseball jackets, and classes from the 1980s shared yearbooks with classes from the 1950s. “It truly was an evening of ‘Cathedral Pride’ as everyone came together as a community—We are Cathedral!”
